North American and Pelican Nebulae

from $30.00

The Cygnus Region of the Milky Way is filled with incredible structures including several areas filled with hydrogen alpha dominated emission nebulae. The North American Nebula and Pelican Nebula, pictured here, are two of the most famous structures in the area. Search for these two objects and you’ll likely find a lot of blue dominated false color images that were made using specific filters to allow more detail to be shown in the cosmic dust, but this image shows the area in its natural red color that our eyes would see if they were much more sensitive.
